'Boom Boom' will be watching fourth ODI at the stadium

Legendary Pakistan all-rounder Shahid Afridi reached the National Stadium earlier on Friday along with the mayor of Canadian city Brampton, Patrick Brown.

Former Pakistani captain will be watching the fourth ODI between Pakistan and New Zealand at the stadium.

Afridi also hosted the whole Pakistan team for dinner at his home in Karachi on Thursday.

Pakistan's squad, which is currently taking part in five-match ODI series against New Zealand in Karachi, enjoyed dinner at Afridi's house.

Players including Shaheen Afridi, Ihsanullah, Mohammad Haris, Naseem Shah, Fakhar Zaman and Iftikhar Ahmed, alongside coaching staff members, were present on this occasion.

As for the fourth ODI, New Zealand have won the toss and decided to bowl first against Pakistan.

Pakistan have made five changes as compared to New Zealand's three.

Shan Masood, Iftikhar Ahmed, Mohammad Haris, Usama Mir and Haris Rauf are included in the starting XI for the fourth ODI.

"We would have preferred to bat first had we won the toss," said Pakistan's skipper Babar Azam. "Pitch is looking good and we will try to score around 290 runs."

It must be noted that Pakistan registered their first one-day international series win over New Zealand in 12 years with a hard-fought 26-run victory in the third match in Karachi on Wednesday.

Imam-ul-Haq scored a 107-ball 90 while Babar Azam made a 62-ball 54 for his 26th ODI half-century to guide Pakistan to 287-6 in their 50 overs.

Opener Tom Blundell hit 65 for New Zealand while debutant Cole McConchie struck an undefeated 45-ball 64 but the visitors were bowled out for 261 in 49.1 overs.

Pakistan, who won the first two matches by five and seven wickets respectively in Rawalpindi, took an unassailable 3-0 lead in the five-match series.

Pakistan´s last ODI series win over New Zealand was in 2011 and since then they had lost six of the seven series, with one drawn.
